Marriott International is looking for a Receptionist for the Water Park / recreation facilities at Le Méridien in Dubai Marina.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred
- No related work experience required
- CPR Certification (required)
- First Aid Certification (required)
- Any certification or training required by local agencies
- Able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
- Able to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds (and more with assistance)
- Comfortable working in recreational facilities, including pools and related areas
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a key resource for all recreation activities on the property
- Provide information to guests about pools, beach, entertainment zone/game-room, fitness center, and child activities center
- Encourage, recruit, register, and schedule guests for recreation activities
- Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests
- Promote rules and regulations of the recreation facilities for guest safety
- Observe activity and respond appropriately in emergencies
- Provide cashier services and process payments for rentals, activities, or retail sales
- Assist with private functions, group activities, and events
- Provide assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive
- Clean and maintain recreational facilities, equipment, and supplies
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions
- Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards
- Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette
- Support the team and maintain positive working relationships
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested
