• 1 to less than 7 months of relevant experience
• Able to work on site at commercial, industrial, institutional, residential, and construction sites
• Physically demanding role involving bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads

Key Responsibilities

As a Plumber, you will install, repair, and test plumbing systems, read blueprints, measure and fit pipes, and ensure water supply and drainage systems operate safely and efficiently while coordinating work and supervising team members as required.

• Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems
• Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors
• Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
• Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment
• Schedule personnel, tools, and equipment
• Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
• Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing
• Supervise other workers (1 to 2 people)
• Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required shape and size
