Job Requirements
Domus Building Cleaning Company Ltd. (working with Alpine Building Maintenance) is looking for reliable cleaners for evening shifts in the Cornwall area.
Ideal candidates:
- Must live in the Cornwall area
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in English
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs or more regularly
- Previous cleaning or janitorial experience is an asset
- Knowledge of floor scrubbing and burnishing is preferred
- Must be reliable and legally allowed to work in Canada
- Food court cleaning experience is a plus
Key Responsibilities
As a Cleaner, you will:
- Sweep, vacuum, mop, and wax floors using mechanized cleaning equipment
- Perform floor scrubbing and burnishing
- Collect and dispose of trash regularly
- Operate carpet cleaning machines
- Spot clean walls, ceilings, partitions, light switches, doors, and window sills
- Wipe and sanitize public areas (phones, furniture, door handles)
- Clean and sanitize washrooms, mop floors, and restock supplies
- Follow all safety policies and guidelines
- Complete other related duties as required
