Job Requirements
Universal Realty Group is looking for a Cleaner Supervisor to join their team in Halifax.
Ideal candidates:
- Have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
- Have 2 years to less than 3 years of relevant experience
- Must be able to speak English
- Must pass a criminal record check
- Should have strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Must be dependable, flexible, and client-focused
- Must be comfortable working in dusty, dirty, outdoor, and fast-paced environments
Key Responsibilities
As a Cleaner Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating cleaning operations, supervising staff, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety, and ensuring that all assigned tasks and schedules are completed efficiently.
- Hire and train (or arrange training for) cleaning staff
- Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of 3–4 workers
- Inspect sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards
- Recommend or arrange additional services (painting, repairs, renovations, or equipment replacement)
- Assist cleaners in performing their duties when needed
- Co-ordinate work activities with other departments
- Establish work schedules
- Supervise janitors, caretakers, light duty cleaners, and specialized cleaners.
