Job Requirements

Active Logistic is looking for Truck Drivers to join their team in Brampton.

Ideal candidates:

• Must have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Must have 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience
• Must have a valid AZ class licence or Class 1 / Class A driver’s licence
• Must be able to speak English
• Must pass a driving record check (abstract) and drug test
• Must be willing to travel cross-border, overnight, and for extended periods
• Must be organized, a team player, and patient
• Must have attention to detail and be comfortable with physically demanding and repetitive tasks

Key Responsibilities

As a Truck Driver, you will safely operate straight and articulated trucks as part of a team or convoy, transport and handle goods and materials, conduct required vehicle inspections, load and secure cargo, communicate with dispatch, use GPS and navigation equipment, maintain accurate driving and cargo records, complete required documentation, and provide professional customer service across local, regional, and long-haul routes.

• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks (tractor-trailer) to transport goods and materials
• Load and unload goods
• Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
• Inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
• Transport and handle dangerous goods
• Address customers’ complaints or concerns and provide professional customer service
• Operate GPS and other navigation equipment
• Complete driver logbook, inspection reports, and trip reports
• Handle local, long-haul, provincial/territorial, and regional trips
