Job Requirements
HGC Management Inc. is looking for a Tractor-Trailer Truck Driver to join their team in Brantford.
Ideal candidates:
- Must have a valid AZ class licence with Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
- Must have 1 to less than 7 months of relevant experience
- Must be able to speak English
- Must have a valid driver’s licence and provide a driver’s abstract
- Must have own transportation
- Must provide steel-toed safety boots
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be flexible, organized, reliable, and a team player
- No formal education required
Key Responsibilities
As a Tractor-Trailer Truck Driver, you will safely operate tractor-trailer vehicles, perform required inspections, communicate with central dispatch, use GPS and navigation equipment, and maintain accurate driver, trip, safety, and vehicle documentation.
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch
- Operate a tractor-trailer
- Use GPS and other navigation equipment
- Complete required documentation including accident/incident reports, bill of lading, driver logbook, inspection reports, maintenance reports, and trip reports
