Job Requirements

DHL is looking for a reliable and professional Courier to join their team in Meydan, Dubai.

Ideal candidates:

• Must hold a clean and valid UAE manual driver’s licence with more than one year of driving experience
• Must have good communication skills with fluency in English (Arabic is a distinct advantage)
• Must have excellent personal presentation, grooming, and hygiene
• Must have reasonable knowledge of local areas in Dubai
• Must be physically fit and able to move, lift, carry, load, and unload various shaped and weighted objects regularly
• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions
• Must have excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload
• Must have demonstrated exceptional customer service experience
• Must have knowledge of safe manual handling practices and OHS issues
• Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
• Must have the ability to use initiative and judgement to solve job-related issues
• Must have strong attention to detail and experience in following operational procedures

Key Responsibilities

As a Courier, you will efficiently handle, deliver, and collect shipments while providing professional customer service, maintaining accurate shipment records, communicating with dispatch, operating the vehicle safely, following company procedures, and supporting efficient team and delivery operations.

• Sort, load, unload, deliver, and pick up all shipments in the most efficient and professional manner
• Wear the required DHL uniform at all times when on duty
• Deliver and pick up shipments without delay
• Ensure Right Day Delivery (RDD) and Right Shuttle Uplift with no missed pickups
• Electronically record all shipment process activities via a scanner (or manually if required)
• Meet special delivery or pickup expectations
• Properly report and account for any cash received from customers
• Maintain a high level of professional rapport with all customers
• Communicate with dispatch/Customer Service when customer needs change
• Use initiative and judgement to meet customer expectations
• Keep the vehicle clean and tidy at all times
• Drive carefully and safely while adhering to traffic regulations
• Follow all DHL Occupational Health & Safety policies, procedures, and training
• Use mechanical aids (e.g. courier trolleys) to reduce the risk of manual handling injuries
• Report any personal, vehicle, or traffic incident/damage immediately to the Senior Courier or Operations Supervisor
• Provide potential sales leads and quality feedback to the sales team
• Support teamwork and overall base performance
