Job Requirements
Davidson Powerline Construction Ltd. is looking for a dedicated Labourer to join their team in Spruce Grove.
- Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform strenuous physical tasks
- Knowledge of basic hand tools and equipment
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines and procedures
- Strong work ethic and ability to work well in a team environment
- Skid Steer experience is an asset
- Must have a clean and valid driver’s licence (Class 5 preferred)
- Must have own transportation
- Must be able to follow instructions and work both independently and with others
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions
Key Responsibilities
As a Labourer, you will support construction and underground utility projects by handling materials, digging, installing cables and conduits, setting streetlights, and maintaining a safe and organized worksite in all weather conditions.
- Perform physical labour on construction sites such as digging, carrying materials, and using hand tools
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of work areas
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a safe work environment
- Operate machinery and equipment under supervision
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Provide support to the lead hand, foreman, and operators in the construction of underground utilities
- Pull cable and conduit
- Place vaults, bases, and peds
- Set streetlights and streetlight bases
- Train conduit and cable
- Sand and complete other related activities
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions
