Job Requirements
Nanak’s Industries Ltd requires that the candidates possess strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, safety standards, and building codes and have the following as well:
Education: No formal degree, certificate, or diploma required
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of carpentry experience
Language: English
Key Responsibilities
As a Carpenter, your tasks will include:
- Reading blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
- Preparing layouts in conformance with building codes using measuring tools
- Measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials such as wood, substitutes, and lightweight steel
- Building foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, and erecting walls and roof systems
- Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
- Supervising other workers as required
- Estimating costs and materials
- Maintaining, repairing, and renovating wooden structures in homes, industrial plants, hospitals, and other facilities
