Key Responsibilities
As a Welder Helper, you will support welding and metalworking operations by preparing and cleaning metal surfaces, handling materials and equipment throughout the plant, and assisting welders, fitters, sheet metal workers, machine operators, and other metalworkers with daily tasks.
- Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from surfaces of metal products
- Transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the plant manually
- Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators, or other metal workers
