Job Requirements

The Heritage is looking for an experienced Bartender to join their team in Killenard, County Laois.

• Must be experienced as a Bartender
• Previous experience preparing signature cocktails is a distinct advantage
• Must be available to work full-time hours year-round
• Must be available for early, late, weekend, and bank holiday shifts
• Must have extensive knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
• Must have knowledge of the food offerings and menu
• Must be able to operate a till system effectively
• Must promote a helpful and professional image to guests
• Must handle guest complaints discreetly and notify the manager on duty

Key Responsibilities

As a Bartender, you will serve guests professionally, manage orders and bar operations, maintain a clean station, and help deliver an excellent dining experience.

• Operate the till system effectively
• Maintain a clean and tidy station at all times
• Carry out mise en place for service (setting tables, stocking stations, preparing tea/coffee, etc.)
• Correctly clear, polish, and store crockery, cutlery, and glassware to minimise breakages and maintain standards
• Take orders to The Heritage standard and maximise sales by recommending products where appropriate
• Promote a helpful and professional image and assist guests promptly and caringly
• Anticipate client needs to enhance quality service and guest satisfaction
• Give full co-operation to colleagues requiring assistance and be flexible around the hotel
• Have extensive knowledge of all beverages and the food menu
• Handle guest complaints discreetly and notify the manager on duty
• Positively promote sales within the department
