Job Requirements
Taj Industrial (TMIF) Ltd is looking for a qualified Fitter/Welder to join their team in Winnipeg.
- Must live in Winnipeg or the surrounding area
- Must have at least 5 years of welding experience
- Must know how to interpret and understand Structural Steel and Miscellaneous blueprints
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
- Must be able to adapt to a fast-paced work environment
- Must follow directions when given a job
- Must have crane and rigging experience
- Must have CWB tickets for all-position SMAW
- Must be able to fabricate and fit with little or no supervision
- Must know how to operate an Oxy-acetylene torch
- Must carry a valid Class 5 driver’s licence
- Must be able to reliably commute or relocate to Winnipeg before starting work
Key Responsibilities
As a Fitter/Welder, you will fabricate, fit, and install metalwork while guiding helpers and following job specifications and safety procedures.
- Install miscellaneous metals
- Oversee one to two helpers
- Fabricate and fit structural steel and miscellaneous items according to blueprints
- Perform welding using SMAW in all positions
- Operate oxy-acetylene torch as required
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Support crane and rigging activities
- Follow all job instructions and safety procedures in a fast-paced environment
