Job Requirements

Qatar Airways is looking for a Cargo Operations Officer to join their Cargo Operations Team in Brussels, Belgium.

• Must have previous supervisory experience
• Must be able to delegate, set clear directions, motivate staff, and foster teamwork
• Must have good knowledge of warehouse and ramp handling
• Must have knowledge of Dangerous Goods regulations, live animal regulations, IATA, and perishable cargo handling
• Must have load control experience and previous experience with loading of freighter aircraft
• Must be legally authorized to work in Belgium without employer sponsorship

Key Responsibilities

As a Cargo Operations Officer, you will coordinate cargo operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and work with teams to maintain safe, efficient, and on-time shipments.

• Monitor smooth cargo operations at the station through close coordination with GHAs and staff within the station/region
• Continuously monitor and develop adherence to regulations outlined by local authorities and regulatory bodies
• Ensure strict compliance with IATA regulations for effective movement of inbound and outbound cargo while reducing operational costs
• Maintain on-time performance of aircraft operations and ensure no delays occur due to ground operations
• Ensure smooth interface from Sales/GSA to GHA, including booking priorities, clear FBL instructions, and correct handling of special cargo with pre-alerts
• Coordinate with customer service and cargo claims department at Head Office
• Forward all necessary claim documents, handle discrepancies, and manage administrative issues related to the station/region
• Ensure all safety and security incidents are thoroughly investigated through root cause analysis and reported within defined timeframes
