• Full clean Category B driving licence (essential)
• Previous delivery driving experience, ideally within building materials, construction, or merchanting

• Forklift experience and/or forklift certification beneficial

Key Responsibilities

As a Pickup Driver / Van Driver, you will deliver building materials to local customers, ensure safe and timely deliveries, assist with loading and unloading goods, prepare customer orders, and support warehouse operations while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.

• Deliver building materials and products to customers within the local area using the company van
• Ensure all deliveries are completed safely, accurately, and on time
• Load and unload delivery vehicles in line with health and safety procedures
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance requirements
• Assist customers with the collection of goods and help load customer vehicles when required
• Pick and prepare customer orders for delivery and collection
• Support warehouse and yard operations, including receiving and storing stock
• Work closely with transport, warehouse, yard, and sales teams to provide excellent customer service
• Assist with stock control activities, including stock takes and cycle counts
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the branch, warehouse, and yard
• Adhere to all company policies, especially health, safety, and safe driving practices
• Undertake other reasonable duties to support the efficient operation of the branch
